Proper Front Hubguard

Engineered for the demands of BMX riding, the Proper Front Hubguard protects your hub and spokes from grind damage.

This front hubguard features a tough aluminium construction, which makes it ideal for handling the abuse that’s associated with practising your favourite tricks at the skatepark or in the street. Proper’s guards replace the cone nuts and (because they’re made from super-tough aluminium) there’s no need for a metal inner and they’re cheap and easy to replace. The guard is slightly wider in diameter than most popular pegs (including plastic pegs), so you should protect your spokes and flanges and avoid grinding on top of the guard.

This guard will fit all Proper Select hubs and V2 Microlite hubs (there are washers supplied for your perfect spacing). It will also fit numerous other brand’s hubs (if they have a 15mm OD axle). This model is based around 12mm spacing from inner bearing race to the end of the axle. If your hub has narrower flanges it’ll need more spacing.
